Health & Safety Announcement
Dear TUG Buzz readers:
We would like to inform you about our planning to ensure your health and safety at our meetings and events in light of the global spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). As you are aware, this is a fast-moving public health issue with seniors falling into the highest risk category.
As of today, Toronto Public Health advises the risk of community transmission in the Greater Toronto Area remains low. They are not recommending postponement of events or limiting places where people gather. As such, all TUG meetings and events will continue unless you are notified otherwise by email.
We commit to monitor the situation closely and to provide an update prior to each MoM as long as COVID-19 remains a threat.
For the safety of our attendees, we ask that you do not attend TUG meetings or events if you:
• display flu-like symptoms,
• have a fever, cough or difficulty breathing,
• have travelled outside of Canada to a country where
COVID-19 is prevalent, returning within the past two weeks,
• have reason to believe that you have had contact with persons
infected with the virus.
If you have already registerred for the March 18 meeting and if any of the above points apply to you, please cancel your registration at the following link: https://www.tug.ca/rep/signon.php
These simple precautions are not meant to create panic and scare you. We just want to keep us all healthy!
