    Grant Cooper

    Grant has over 25 years of working with customers in the IBM i space, across of wide range of industries such as insurance, finance, manufacturing, retail and distribution. He has worked with the LANSA organization since 1991.

    Since he graduated from the University of Waterloo, in the Math & Computer Science Co-op Program, Grant has worked with different businesses to help them implement a variety of business solutions, based on his role as developer, designer, trainer, project manager, and account manager. Experiences with Character-based applications in the past, while more recent implementations have dealt with Web, Mobile, and various Integration solutions.

    Tom Cremieux

    Tom has over 10 years of IBM i, application architecture and development experience. He has been involved in multiple modernization, integration, and development implementations utilizing various platforms and an array of tools including .NET, Java, PHP, HTML, Bootstrap, and LANSA.

    Tom has frequently spoken on many webinars, and has presented/demonstrated many times at IBM COMMON, and at more regional user groups and conferences, including some in New England, California, Florida, Colorado, Illinois and Wisconsin. Recently, Tom was a presenter at the Wisconsin Midrange Computer Professional Association (WMCPA), as part of a multi-vendor presentation showcasing the latest advancements in Web Development.

    TEC 2017 Hotel Reservations

    Planning to spend a night or two?

    TUG has reserved a block of rooms with the special group rate of $109.90 (based on double occupancy) at the Monte Carlo Inn from May 1st to May 3rd, under the name "TUG Group Block". If you are interested in a room, please book online by April 24th at: http://www.montecarloinns.com/downtown-markham.html or contact Stephanie Nicole Yiourourkis at (905) 752-2700.

    Continental Breakfast (6am - 10am), parking, local phone calls and hi speed internet access is included in the rate.  There is a restaurant and bar in the property as well as swimming pool and fitness center. Phones are also equipped with IPhone/IPod dock and all rooms have fridge and microwave.

    Please be aware that there are 2 locations in Markham. Make the reservation for “DOWNTOWN MARKHAM” (7255 Warden Avenue) and NOT the one at 8900 Woodbine.

    Reminders:

    1.  Mention the group name “TUG Group Block” when making reservations over the phone (905)752-2700 or toll free 1877-752-2788 (US and Canada)
    2. They will ask for Credit Card to secure the reservation, a pre-authorization of the room & tax plus incidentals will be taken upon check in and the exact amount will be charged upon check out.
    3. Make the reservation before cut-off date which is April 24th, 2017. Reservation received after this time will be based on availability.
    4. Indicate the room preference ( e.g., 2 beds).
    5. Check in time is 2:00 pm and check out time is 11:00 am
    6. 24 hour cancellation policy,  if for some reason the reservation needs to be cancelled, call the hotel 24 hours (before 4 pm) prior to the arrival date otherwise the credit card will be charge for 1 night as a No Show.

    TUG Board Election Continues

    The online poll is open for the 2017 TUG General Election, with four candidates for three open positions.

    Click www.tug.ca/election to meet the candidates and cast your vote.

    This poll will close on Friday May 12th 2017 at 11:59 pm. Results will be announced at the May 24th 2017 Meeting of Members (AGM).
