Dear TUG Community member:
Our TEC committee has made extraordinary efforts for the 20th anniversary TEC 2013 conference. Our objectives for the conference are:
- Full focus on IBM i… for those amongst us who are committed to the IBM i platform, the entire conference (2 days, 6 tracks) is deeply focused on IBM i (iSeries). Notice that we also purposely made the conference more interesting to admin and operations folks, and not just application developers.
- Top shelf speakers… a generous budget was allocated to cover travel and costs for a world-class set of speakers. Our agenda includes the best known industry speakers from IBM and user groups such as COMMON. Literally, we are bringing the best of the best to Toronto in a cost-effective package for TUG members. Also we have Steve Will, Chief Architect of IBM i, as a keynote speaker.
- Higher quality experience. We will be at Seneca for the fourth year and want this to be the best experience yet. We’ re making the conference more “cozy”, upgrading the food, and making the parking arrangements simple.
- Extraordinary value. Shops that depend on IBM i find that networking, skills upgrading, and education are expensive and scarce. Our conference provides a packed education and technical forum with a value proposition matching that of attending a premium conference at a price of less than the airfare to go to the US.
Check out our agenda at www.tug.ca/tec.
Again, if the IBM i is a part of your IT strategy, you should consider attending this conference. Contact me if you have questions or would like a volume discount.
